Soft-more Year E-comm

          This year has been very eventful in e-comm. if you didn't know I'm in the Graphic design and Video classes in e-comm so I have to make a log post for those classes so I'm killing two birds with one stone by posting one overall blog on this semester so far. so without further adoooo lets get into my first semester this year.




Graphic Design

So I'm going to start with graphic design since that is the class I'm working on this in. So when I first entered this class I was very hesitant because I didn't really know if this is what I really wanted to do and to be honest I still am having some regrets, only because it's more difficult than I thought it would be, but even though it hard its still one of the funnest classes I've had this year and it gets easier the longer you do it for.

Projects

The first few projects we made in this class were fairly simple because they were In photoshop and photoshop was really easy if you look at my old posts then you will see some of those projects or if you go to my Behance account which ill link at the bottom of this paragraph you can see some of them, the second part of this semester was really hard mainly because it was in Ai witch is not my fortay and is really hard to get a grasp of at first. but over time it got easier.

My hardest assignment would have to had been the fall season one which was very time consuming and really annoying to do in Ai my hardest Ps one was probably the poster one were I had to use like 10 different pictures and make them fit but I kept on forgetting to take more pictures so I had to use pictures from year prier then this year.

Here is my final that I did I think it was really fun to make this mainly because I had fun rain over what was going on with it I got to make my own thing.




The Final was to make a info graphic about a topic I chose D&D  (Dungeons And Dragons) personally I love Dungeons and Dragons and play it all the time so it was really fun looking up all the information and finding out new things about this game that I really liked. if I had to do something different was take my time a bit more to be honest I didn't put as much effort into this compared to most people in my class I feel like it was a little rushed. also the picture on my character sheet it was supposed to look like this. anyways this assignment was really fun to do and was one of if not my favorite project this year.







All and all Ive liked my graphic design class this semester but I still don't know what I'm going to do next year.

Now its Time to talk about video so this class I will admit its one of my favorite classes this year sorry GD teacher, Anyways this class is really fun mainly because as a student we don't get much freedom to do what we want but that's not true in this class.


Projects

 For the most part the projects in this class were more annoying. just trying to get all the stuff together and trying to fix little things also i'm an introvert and i'm not good at getting out of my comfort zone which was probably the hardest thing that i've had to go through this year. now the first project went really wrong because i had to edit the video on my phone the next project that i did sucked too mainly because i didn't get the film i really needed. For the final which i'm still working on is probably the easiest project that i've worked on all year. but there is one thing wrong... MR.COOPER MADE ME AN ANCHOR!!! I was sitting minding my own business i had been through the training for the tech part of the film and Mr. Cooper says "Hey Michael what are you doing?" he looks at the board and sees that only girls are anchors and decides i get to be one and now i'm a sports anchor. sports! sports! i don't know anything about sports!!!... anyways Videos not that bad. (Jk Mr. Cooper Thanks for giving me the opertunity)

So fo this assignment there is not much to say about it basically what we had to do was a feature story. the feature story I decided to do was the musical preference on Shalie Lundy. This was harder then I thought it would be. I had a lot of struggles when I was making this video and I had to go back and edit it a lot after words. the first thing was getting good b roll which was difficult because I didn't know what to do for listening to music so thats not the best thing in the video. the second and probably the biggest thing that I didn't get to fix was the voice over when I was making it I fell sick and I lost my voice so I couldn't get many lines of narration in there. but even though a lot of thing didn't go my way it was still pretty fun to make.

Different Types Of Printing

     Relief Printing

     When you are relief printing basically what you do is cut out or carve out a drawing that you want to print; typically with wood or a hard substance. After you have cut out the picture you want to press ink into the peace of wood. After you have ink equally spread out on the wood then you place a peace of paper on it and press lightly on the paper with something that has a flat surface.

Intaglio Printing

     Intaglio Printing is were you take a sheet of metal and make really small  sketches in it by scraping it with different tools. The different tools do different things some make large scrapes and some make really small one that help with small details. With intaglio printing you need to pay close attention to details because the way it comes out you can see it very clearly and it is easy to see the mistakes. Anyways after you sketched your picture out you clean it off a lot of times and make sure its smooth and shiny. after you have the mettle done you apply ink onto it and place paper on it then use a machine to apply a lot of pressure on it.

Lithography  Printing

     With this kind of printing there is a very long process in doing it first you need a specific stone that can absorb water and oils (you can use lime stone). What you want to do is draw you picture on the stone once you do that layer the stone with specific chemicals and do that over and over again, then apply water and grease over and over again then add a chemical that can separate water and ink and then apply ink and place paper on it and yep you guessed it press hard and there you go you did it.

       I personally have done some Relief printing in the past. when I was in 8th or 7th grade I was in an art class and we took these weird things that felt like erasers and we carved out images and took ink and lathered it on them afterword's we put it on paper and for our final project we printed them on clay boxes we had to make when the clay was still wet and we burned them after words making a glaze like paint of then box with the design on them mine was broken in the kennel because it wasn't properly glued together so I only took home one side of it I wish I had a picture but sadly I don't. if I had to do another kind of print like these I would defiantly do another Relief print but this wood this time.

Panorama Project

My Panorama Project was very difficult in many aspects of the creation so don't hate on it too much please and thank you. Anyways this is my Panorama of things. Step 1. take pictures step 2. put them in photoshop. step 3. do the thing ( make it look good).

Pictures
The hardest part of this project was probably taking pictures. The pictures were hard to take because you didn't really have much to go off of you had to come up with your own ideas and figure it out your own way. If you cant tell already it was really hard for me to come up with the ideas and take pictures of things actually more then half of these photos are ones that i found of my phone that i had taken before this project. The base number of photos we had to have was 10 pictures which made it even harder to do. so most of mine are just random photos that i somehow fit together. I think.



Creation
When i was originally was making this i had no clue what i was going to do but as is was going through this i just kinda messed with it until i got an outcome that i liked. there are some things that probably could have been better now when i look at it. so if you want me to fix some stuff im looking for things to change so just tell me. basically i had to make these pictures fit together so that it didnt look like a different picture and make it seamless. i really like what i did with the trees and the sunrise on a beach and the streets connected with the dog in the middle and now thats not my dog its a friends. any who the things that i think that could have done better with the Enterprise but i didnt really know hot to do the lighting for it honestly i really just put it in there so add more pictures because ten is a lot for the amount of pictures to take by our selves that dont have people.

POP ART PROJECT

     POP art Challenge!!! Pop art is a art stile that isn't very popular any more but it is really cool basically you take a picture and you photoshop it to were it looks like it is abstract or a comic or a drawing and its really cool. honestly when I started I had no clue what I was going to do it was really hard to cut out the person and put stuff in that made sense in the workshop now I did figure something out that worked so I do indeed hope that you like it.

Process
     This project really showed me how I can use my emajination and how to use filters so amplify the effect of my project. so when I was making this project I really wanted to try to do it my own way so I think did that but is wasn't easy to get there. when I first started I couldn't figure out what to do. everything I tried I failed at and I really had no idea what i was going to do. I want to say about three days before I had to finish the assignment I had no idea what I was going to do but then me and my friend were talking about the windows logo and then I got an idea to do windows and It worked really well.


   



     Things I wanted to do

     What I really wanted to do at first was thoughs presidential pictures were there are only like two colors implemented into it but that didn't work. then I wanted to make the person different colors or look like a painting but it just didn't look good with the coloring. but I think I did good with what I did.



Hoped you liked it

     I hope you like it so I used the brush in the background I used shapes to fill in the white and coloring and I used the cutout filter in the photoshop filters this is like the 5th try of me trying to make this so hopefully it's good enough.

     Hello everyone so I had to take a photo of a man and a land scape and make something like the photo you see up above. yes look at my beautiful creations. any ways this project was really mainly because I got to do my own thing and not have to do it step by step like other projects and it felt good to discover things on my own. So thats all I really have to say about this but yeah I enjoyed it.



     The first picture was the main one that I did and the one I really tried on so I used a few filters and cut out his background and his shirt. when I first started on this project I had I good Idea of what to do because I did something like this in my photography class and too I already had an idea of what to do. the more Ideas I had the more challenging it got because I really wanted to do all the ideas. but I think the ideas I used were worth it.












This second one was just a test one and I didn't put much work into it I basically just did the same thing but used a different picture and color. so I don't have much to talk about, but I hope you like this project.

Another Photoshop Tutorial Day in GD

Ok so we are doing more photoshop in e-Com and its pretty fun but a little boring to be honest id rather use illustrator to make like a logo or something. any ways the photoshop was pretty easy and I got it done really fast probably because I use things that are harder to use that aren't photoshop in my free time at home sometimes so when I use photoshop it is so much easier to me compared to what I usually use. at one point I had to use paint to do a photoshop design thing. 

     honestly I turned out pretty good here look

yeah that was on paint which was a pain in the but.

anyways it was fun and I really hope I get to do more in the future.
