This assignment was actually really easy.

For this assignment in Graphic Design we created greeting cards using calligraphy. So basically what we did was find a font we wanted to "Copy" onto a IRL piece of paper, then we have to take a picture of the paper and send it to ourselves, download it onto the computer, and then make the letters in adobe illustrator. After you finish that you put it in adobe indesign and print it.

The hardest part of this project was figuring out what font you want to "Copy" on my second one i actually didn't copy any fonts I just made my own. over all i don't know what to say i think that this was the easiest thing i've done in e-Com.

This assignment was really fun to make I was in a group of three making a trailer for the movie Napoleon Dynamite. this was a really fun experience probably one of the most fun projects I've ever had in e-Com. Luckily I wasn't the director this time I was the camera guy and that was really fun mainly because didn't have to make hard devotions. while making this video we went into spring break which is were we had the most struggle because I wasn't available the whole time. you see my brother decided to pay us a surprise visit so I couldn't go to the places I needed to film. Luckily my team pulled through and got some sense done. after my brother finally left I went over an filmed the rest of the video. when it all comes down to it the real thing that pulled us through was our manager Addie. she was the best director and pulled through when we deeded her. if I was the manager for this project it would have gone up in flames. thats all I really have to say about this project.

My Dogo Project


This project from a far looked really hard, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be the assignment was pretty easy Probably because i did a dog instead of a human, But still it was really fun and i had a good time making it i did run into a littler trouble when i was trying to color it because doing fur is really annoying. So i went with more of a cartoon look and used one color besides shading to do the fur.

I finished this assignment really fast and had a few days to try another project that didn't go so well it was a triangles project were you do the same thing as the other one but just with triangles and that wasn't fun and i regret trying it, it didn't even turn out good.

Now when i was making this project i thought it was going to be very easy, boy was i mistaken. well we started off with me being the manager, "that was fun" anyway i was the manager so i was in charge of everyone and had to make sure that they were doing their jobs it went easy at first, we were doing the story board we were figuring out what song we wanted, and had a good time assigning the jobs for the people in the group, but then i had to go on multiple trips out of class for my swim team and i had to go to KU for testing for Dyslexia and Dysgraphia which i have confirmed to have both of those things. anyway back to the important thing when i got back our group was in chaos the person responsible for the actors and props didnt have those things done and the person in charge of the paperwork for the scenes and stuff didnt have that done yet, now i was gone for three days the only one who was doing his job was Beric which was find pictures to help with the story board and most of his job was to help while filming and to communicate with us  if he thought something should be changed and confer with me about things. when i got back we had to film ASAP and we did we got like one scene done in a weeks time because the two people that were supposed to film at home didn't and the actors were getting impatient with our sheduals that were consistently changing because our team didnt do what they were supposed to do and it was torcher for me because i was the manager and i had to deal with everything going wrong and i wanted to quite but i couldn't so i pounded down on them, HARD and i fixed what deeded to be done with Beric and we finally filmed two more meager scenes out of the four that we needed but we had to get rid of a major part in the video which was supposed to be a dog but we couldnt do that because it would take to long so the video doesnt even make much sense, (Sorry i couldn't control my group and be a better manager).





I am to blame for missing class and for not being a harder manager and i am sorry that the video was not good and that the group was in chaos and that the final product was bad. I have no excuses. : l

Typography Project

Pre-Project


     When we started this assignment we had to figure out what to type i mean you can't do a typography projects without any type. so what we all did was find quotes for this assignment now it was really easy for me because i like hearing really funny quotes or really true quotes and so i had some already picked out (BTW i finished this assignment really early) but a lot of my classmates had some truble finding the ten they needed. we had to get ten but we only used 4 of them.

When i started working on this project it wasn't hard to figure out what i wanted to do, Oh yeah on another note we had to pick out different fonts to use. anyways when we started i knew pretty much what i wanted to do i did have some issues though. when i started i started in color but we were supposed to do it in black and white with no grays or opacity changes so i had to go back through and rearrange things to fit with the black and white which was a little annoying but i got through it.

Post production

When i finished my first copy of this i was really early by a few days so i went in and added a little more details that weren't in there before also i added more things to adjust the colors from the original black and white. looking at it now when i'm writing this i really think i did well if i had to change anything it would probably be the enterprise A at the bottom of the forth one i could have added more details but for the most part i tried my hardest and i think i did well.

Soft-more Year E-comm

          This year has been very eventful in e-comm. if you didn't know I'm in the Graphic design and Video classes in e-comm so I have to make a log post for those classes so I'm killing two birds with one stone by posting one overall blog on this semester so far. so without further adoooo lets get into my first semester this year.




Graphic Design

So I'm going to start with graphic design since that is the class I'm working on this in. So when I first entered this class I was very hesitant because I didn't really know if this is what I really wanted to do and to be honest I still am having some regrets, only because it's more difficult than I thought it would be, but even though it hard its still one of the funnest classes I've had this year and it gets easier the longer you do it for.

The first few projects we made in this class were fairly simple because they were In photoshop and photoshop was really easy if you look at my old posts then you will see some of those projects or if you go to my Behance account which ill link at the bottom of this paragraph you can see some of them, the second part of this semester was really hard mainly because it was in Ai witch is not my fortay and is really hard to get a grasp of at first. but over time it got easier.

My hardest assignment would have to had been the fall season one which was very time consuming and really annoying to do in Ai my hardest Ps one was probably the poster one were I had to use like 10 different pictures and make them fit but I kept on forgetting to take more pictures so I had to use pictures from year prier then this year.

Here is my final that I did I think it was really fun to make this mainly because I had fun rain over what was going on with it I got to make my own thing.




The Final was to make a info graphic about a topic I chose D&D  (Dungeons And Dragons) personally I love Dungeons and Dragons and play it all the time so it was really fun looking up all the information and finding out new things about this game that I really liked. if I had to do something different was take my time a bit more to be honest I didn't put as much effort into this compared to most people in my class I feel like it was a little rushed. also the picture on my character sheet it was supposed to look like this. anyways this assignment was really fun to do and was one of if not my favorite project this year.







All and all Ive liked my graphic design class this semester but I still don't know what I'm going to do next year.

Now its Time to talk about video so this class I will admit its one of my favorite classes this year sorry GD teacher, Anyways this class is really fun mainly because as a student we don't get much freedom to do what we want but that's not true in this class.

 For the most part the projects in this class were more annoying. just trying to get all the stuff together and trying to fix little things also i'm an introvert and i'm not good at getting out of my comfort zone which was probably the hardest thing that i've had to go through this year. now the first project went really wrong because i had to edit the video on my phone the next project that i did sucked too mainly because i didn't get the film i really needed. For the final which i'm still working on is probably the easiest project that i've worked on all year. but there is one thing wrong... MR.COOPER MADE ME AN ANCHOR!!! I was sitting minding my own business i had been through the training for the tech part of the film and Mr. Cooper says "Hey Michael what are you doing?" he looks at the board and sees that only girls are anchors and decides i get to be one and now i'm a sports anchor. sports! sports! i don't know anything about sports!!!... anyways Videos not that bad. (Jk Mr. Cooper Thanks for giving me the opertunity)

So fo this assignment there is not much to say about it basically what we had to do was a feature story. the feature story I decided to do was the musical preference on Shalie Lundy. This was harder then I thought it would be. I had a lot of struggles when I was making this video and I had to go back and edit it a lot after words. the first thing was getting good b roll which was difficult because I didn't know what to do for listening to music so thats not the best thing in the video. the second and probably the biggest thing that I didn't get to fix was the voice over when I was making it I fell sick and I lost my voice so I couldn't get many lines of narration in there. but even though a lot of thing didn't go my way it was still pretty fun to make.
